Such streams are very productive and usually have growths of aquatic mosses, filamentous algae, and/or watercress. Spawning occurs during March and April. During this time, individuals are common in gravel riffles, which may be the spawning area.[3] DescriptionThis species can reach a length of {{convert|6.8|cm|in}} TL though most only reach about {{convert|5.8|cm|in}}.[2] References1. ^{{Cite journal | author = NatureServe | title = Etheostoma luteovinctum | journal = The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species | volume = 2013 | page = e.T8117A13369968 | publisher = IUCN | date = 2013 | url = http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/8117/0 | doi = 10.2305/IUCN.UK.2013-1.RLTS.T8117A13369968.en | access-date = 15 January 2018}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q304990}}{{Percidae-stub}}2. ^1 2 3 {{FishBase |genus= Etheostoma|species= luteovinctum| month = February | year = 2014}} 3. ^Etnier, David A., and Wayne C.
