释义 |
The Anthapura or Antahpura (Sanskrit {{lang|sa|अन्तःपुर}}) was the royal harem of an Indian palace, the portion of king's palace where the queen and other court ladies stayed—the 'ladies' section' of the palace.[1] Normally, this portion of the palace would be accompanied with the Queen's Bath. Most of the palaces in India will have Anthapura as integral part (ex: Hampi, Mysore Palace).[2] References1. ^Feminism and Indian realities by K A Kunjakkan.
