It was built in 1892 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.[1] It is described as "a straightforward, well-executed version of Victorian Gothic architecture used in the construction of many Protestant churches in Kentucky during the late 19th century."[2] It is a cruciform-plan church which has a square bell tower. It originally had a cupola, but that was destroyed by lightning in 1925 and was not replaced.[2] References1. ^1 {{NRISref|2009a}} 2. ^1 {{cite web|url={{NRHP url|id=85001746}}|title=National Register of Historic Places Inventory/Nomination: Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church / Unity Missionary Baptist Church|publisher=National Park Service|author= |date= |accessdate=December 21, 2017}} With {{NRHP url|id=85001746|photos=y|title=four photos from 1985}}.
