The main office of the Aloha Aina Party is located in Hilo, Hawaii Island with satellite offices on each island; Maui, Oahu and Kauai. HistoryIn 2000 the Aloha Aina Party was established by Vickie Holt Takamine as a revival of the Home Rule Party. The party focused on Hawaiian sovereignty and representing Native Hawaiian voices in local politics.[1] In 2016 Desmon Haumea, Pua Ishibashi, and Donald Kaulia worked to obtain enough petitions for the party to appear on the 2016 election ballot.[2] They held an official Aloha Aina Party Rally in Hilo for petition signing and voter registration on January 3, 2016.
