Additionally, YouLicense aimed to lead the global music industry in developing and monetizing the emerging field of long-tail music licensing, consisting of "media pro-sumers" producer consumers) seeking music licenses for a range of digital and non-commercial usages such as wedding DVDs, live events, in-store music, photo slideshows, videos, presentations and many other uses. The company operated www.YouLicense.com, an open online licensing marketplace for independent artists and companies, including record labels and publishers.
