Football careerBorn in Vecindario, Province of Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Aridane finished his formation with Deportivo de La Coruña, making his senior debuts with the B-team in the fourth division. He achieved promotion to the third level in 2007, being relegated two years later. In the following years, Aridane did not settle with any team, representing Real Zaragoza B in division four and Universidad de Las Palmas CF and CD Leganés in division three. In January 2012, he signed with CD Tenerife in the latter,[1] scoring 25 goals in 37 games in his second season (adding two from three appearances in the play-offs) to help the club return to the second tier after two years out.[2][3][4] Aridane played his first professional match on 1 September 2013, featuring the last 27 minutes of a 0–2 away loss to CD Mirandés.[5] He scored his first goal in the second division seven days later, in a 2–2 home draw against FC Barcelona B.[6] On 6 July 2015, aged 28, Aridane terminated his contract with Tenerife and moved abroad for the first time in his career, after agreeing to a two-year deal with Bangkok Glass F.C. in Thailand.[7] On 1 February of the following year he returned to his home country, signing a short-term deal with CD Mirandés in the second division.[8] On 3 August 2016, Aridane joined Albacete Balompié, freshly relegated to the third level.[9] In his first season in Castilla-La Mancha, he contributed 17 goals in 42 matches as his team were promoted as champions,[10] including the extra time winner in the play-off semi-final against CD Atlético Baleares.[11] References1. ^Aridane: “El Tenerife es un club grande” (Aridane: "Tenerife is a big club") {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20131029212846/http://www.tenerifedeportivo.com/2012/01/04/aridane-el-tenerife-es-un-club-grande/|date=29 October 2013}}; Tenerife Deportivo, 4 January 2012 (in Spanish) 2. ^{{cite news|url=https://www.laopinion.es/deportes/2013/05/07/aridane-13-goleadores/473950.html|title=Aridane y 13 goleadores más|trans-title=Aridane and 13 other scorers|publisher=La Opinión de Tenerife|language=Spanish|date=7 May 2013|accessdate=20 December 2018}} 3. ^El Alavés aguanta con nueve y queda campeón de Segunda B (Alavés hold on with nine and are Segunda B champions); Diario AS, 16 June 2013 (in Spanish) 4. ^{{cite news|url=https://eldia.es/deportes/2014-06-04/1-grancanario-Aridane-Santana-partido-cien-Tenerife.htm|title=El grancanario Aridane Santana, a un partido de los cien con el Tenerife|trans-title=Gran Canaria's Aridane Santana, one match from reaching one hundred with Tenerife|publisher=El Día|language=Spanish|date=4 June 2014|accessdate=12 September 2018}} 5. ^El Mirandés quiso y pudo (Mirandés wanted it and got it); Marca, 1 September 2013 (in Spanish) 6. ^Un entusiasta Tenerife no pudo pasar del empate ante el Barça B (Enthusiastic Tenerife could not earn more than a draw against Barça B); Marca, 8 September 2013 (in Spanish) 7. ^สื่อกระทิงโหมหนัก!บีจีปิดดีลหอกยักษ์สเปน (Bangkok Glass sign forward from Spanish giants); Goal, 6 July 2015 (in Thai) 8. ^Aridane Santana, nuevo jugador del C.D.
