It was built in 1858 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It is a one-story {{convert|36x55|ft|m}} plan building. It is built of Cooksville red brick, with local tan brick for trimmings, on a limestone foundation.[2] The congregation was organized in 1851.
