The song was covered by The Doobie Brothers in 2004 on their Live at Wolf Trap album. Checkmates, Ltd. released a version of the song as part of a medley on their 1967 debut album, Live! At Caesar's Palace.[8] Aaron Carter covered "Little Bitty Pretty One" for the 2001 Disney movie The Princess Diaries. In 1983, the song was used in the film Christine. In 1996, the song was used in the film Matilda. In 2008, the song was used in the film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. ReceptionBryan Thomas writes that the song "has gone on to become one of the best loved oldies of the late '50s."[9] "Wiggle, Wiggle""Little Bitty Pretty One" was the inspiration for the Accents' sole hit "Wiggle Wiggle" in 1958, and though the similarities were evidently not sufficient to warrant a lawsuit, Aladdin took the expedient step of covering the song with a group called the Chestnuts.[10] References1. ^Dave Marsh, The Heart of Rock & Soul: The 1001 Greatest Singles Ever Made (Da Capo Press, 1999), [https://books.google.com/books?id=5t5DYDniSHEC&pg=PA429&dq=%22Little+Bitty+Pretty+One%22+%22Bobby+Day%22&lr=&ei=ttEySfemLpK6M8ujxfYN 429]. {The Jackson 5 singles|state=collapsed}}{{1950s-single-stub}}2. ^The Lamplighters at Allmusic 3. ^{{cite book |title= Top R&B/Hip-Hop Singles: 1942-2004|last=Whitburn |first=Joel |authorlink=Joel Whitburn |year=2004 |publisher=Record Research |page=246}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.billboard.com/artist/302404/frankie-lymon/chart |title=Frankie Lymon - Chart history |publisher=Billboard |date=1960-08-20 |accessdate=2016-08-29}} 5. ^{{cite book|first=Joel |last=Whitburn |title=Top Pop Singles |edition=12th |page=645|year=2009}} 6. ^Soulsation!
