A son of Polish immigrants, he is one of the best goalscorers in Championnat de France. In a World Cup qualifying match against Belgium in 1956, he scored five times, equaling the French national team record set by Eugène Maës in 1913.[1] References1. ^http://www.fff.fr/equipes-de-france/1/france-a/matchs/770/1956-11-11/france-belgique External links
