Joseph Parata Hohepa Hawke {{postnominals|country=NZL|size=100%|MNZM}} (born 1940) is a former New Zealand politician. He was a member of Parliament for the Labour Party from 1996 to 2002. In the 1999 election, he remained a list MP, opting not to stand in an electorate. He retired from politics at the 2002 election.{{Citation needed|date=March 2011}} Outside politicsBefore entering Parliament, he worked as a consultant and a company director. He has been involved with a number of Māori organisations, including leading the Bastion Point protests[1] and the Mai FM radio station.
