Hobo Cave is a set of bouldering problems found on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder, Colorado. The rock feature is an actual cave beneath a rock buttress on Boulder Mountain Park land.

Access

Hobo Cave can be accessed via Flagstaff Trail at the intersection of Flagstaff Mountain Road and Gregory Canyon Road. Approximately 300 yards after Baseline Road becomes Flagstaff Mountain Road, there is a left-hand turnoff to the Gregory Canyon parking area, Gregory Canyon Road. A branch of Flagstaff Trail begins heading North/Northwest at this intersection. Approximately 1/4 mile up the trail, a smaller, climber's trail will branch to the West towards the nearest and most prominent rock buttress, beneath which is Hobo Cave.

Climbing Style

The majority of the problems in Hobo cave are overhanging and technical, requiring an emphasis on upper body strength. Difficulty levels range from V2 to V9.

Problems

Hobo Arete, V2 First Ascent: Jeff Achey, 1986/7

Around the Corner, V6 First Ascent: Justin Jaeger, 2002

Burnout, V4 First Ascent: Jeff Achey, 1986/7
