释义 |
Kreb (cereal)Kreb is the name given to a mixture of non-cultivated grains that are harvested from semi-wild grasses in sub-saharan africa.[1]. It is often described as a 'famine food', but is highly nutritious. The benefits of Kreb include increased food security and potential to halt desertification[1]. Kreb production and harvesting is in decline due to an increase in grazing and a reduction in nomadism[1]. One way of reviving Kreb production may be as a "specialty export crop" or health food[2]{{Agri-stub}}References: 1. ^1 2 The Future is an Ancient Lake: Traditional Knowledge, Biodiversity and Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture in Lake Chad Basin Ecosystems [https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=P1lNboNEnQ0C] FAO (2004) 2. ^Lost Crops of Africa: Grains [https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=87ou6aEaze8C] F.R.
