Kreb (cereal)

Kreb is the name given to a mixture of non-cultivated grains that are harvested from semi-wild grasses in sub-saharan africa.[1]. It is often described as a 'famine food', but is highly nutritious. The benefits of Kreb include increased food security and potential to halt desertification[1]. Kreb production and harvesting is in decline due to an increase in grazing and a reduction in nomadism[1]. One way of reviving Kreb production may be as a "specialty export crop" or health food[2]{{Agri-stub}}
