CurriculumVarious teaching methods are used, including kinesthetic learning. Students are taught self-respect and respect of others, as well as ethnic awareness.[3] The pedagogy is supported by social science research.[4] Outdoor SchoolThe Outdoor School is a program for fourth and fifth grade students. During the duration of five days and four nights, students are exposed to diverse settings and experience racial integration firsthand. The program focuses on community and building self-esteem.[5] It is well regarded by area parents.[6] StaffThe year-round staff consists of the five individuals who oversee the organization. There is also a board of directors.
