He has both bachelor's and master's degrees^[1] in exercise physiology from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse.^[2] Davey has often appeared in fitness and bodybuilding magazines.^[2] He lives in Fort Myers, Florida.^[3]

Davey is the older brother of the former NFL player Don Davey.
