It was described by South in 1901. It is found in central China.[1] The wingspan is about 19 mm. The forewings are pale straw, rather darker on the costa. There is a black dot in the cell and a hook-shaped mark below it on the inner margin, as well as a black spot at end of the cell. The postmedial band is indicated by short black streaks on veins 1 to 7. The hindwings have black streaks on veins 2 to 7 and some black specks between veins 1 and 2, as well as a black cloud on the outer margin near the apex.[2] References1. ^{{cite web |last=Nuss |first=M. |display-authors=etal |date=2003–2017 |url=http://globiz.pyraloidea.org/Pages/Reports/TaxonReport.aspx |title=GlobIZ search |website=Global Information System on Pyraloidea |accessdate=June 19, 2018}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q14254290}}{{Spilomelinae-stub}}2. ^{{cite journal |last=Leech |first=John Henry |date=December 30, 1901 |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=f_sVAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA449#v=onepage&q&f=false |title=Lepidoptera Heterocera from China, Japan, and Corea |journal=The Transactions of the Entomological Society of London |issue=4 |page=449 |via=Google Books}} 2 : Spilomelinae|Moths described in 1901 |
