SynopsisThe Vorlons continue to obliterate any planet they believe was contaminated by the Shadows. Babylon 5 maintains continuous alerts to help refugees seek shelter. Sheridan decides that they need to remove the current Vorlon ambassador from the station, not knowing how telepathic he may be or what information he may be relaying back to the Vorlons. However, to execute his plan Sheridan is forced to keep the newly-reinstated Garibaldi out of most of the plan over fears that the Vorlon may read Garibaldi's mind, letting Garibaldi's doubts about his truthworthiness to build. Garibaldi and a small security team attempt to remove the Vorlon by force, but they are easily overpowered. Lyta Alexander goes to see the Vorlon, explaining that she thinks she knows who has the piece of Kosh within them. Lyta then leads the Vorlon into a trap--a highly-electrified field that stuns the Vorlon and gives security time to fire heavily on the encounter suit--while Sheridan, Delenn, and Lorien watch from the sides. The suit is destroyed and the Vorlon emerges in its ethereal form at the same time that its ship tries to break out of its docking bay. As the Vorlon form circles the area, it sees Delenn and tries to strike her down but Sheridan steps in between, absorbing most of the blast. Lorien tells Sheridan it is time, and Sheridan turns around, releasing the part of Kosh he was carrying. Kosh and the other Vorlon struggle, drawn out of the station into the fleeing Vorlon ship before it is destroyed. Lorien provides life force to help restore Sheridan in front of Delenn. Later, Sheridan has Delenn come to his quarters, where he explains that he actually had died at Z'ha'dum, but Lorien was able to provide him with additional time--at most twenty years. Because he knows his time left is limited, Sheridan proposes to Delenn, wanting to spend the rest of his life with her. On Centauri Prime, Ambassador Mollari learns of the advancing Vorlon fleet--news that Emperor Cartagia has been keeping a secret. Mollari tries to convince Cartagia to evict the Shadow fleet from the planet, but Cartagia is so set on achieving godhood that he would welcome the destruction of Centauri by the Vorlons. Mollari gets information from Sheridan that the Vorlons are about seven days out from Centauri. Mollari convinces Cartagia that in order to help assure Cartagia's name is known across the galaxy they should go to the Narn homeworld, put G'Kar on trial, and then execute him, thus sending a signal of Cartagia's power across Narn and numerous nearby worlds. Cartagia agrees to this plan. As they prepare to leave, Mollari suggests that Cartagia inspecting G'Kar, not liking the look G'Kar is giving him. Mollari suggests that Cartagia decide how to resolve that and leaves, only for Cartagia to decide to have G'Kar's left eye plucked out. Arc significance
